Chicago Summer Calendar of Events

One of the reasons I love Chicago so much is our summer season (whenever it decides to arrive and stay for a while) and all the events and activities it has to offer. This summer will be no different as there are hundreds of street festivals, art fairs, and neighborhood gatherings already scheduled. So, get out your PDA’s and planners and start marking down the dates! Here are some of the highlights of the 2004 Summer Calendar of Events:

15th Annual Festa Pasta Vino in Chicago’s Heart of Italy, June 17-20

I’d also like to mention a couple of events that are going on all year. One is the Chicago Neighborhood Tours. There are seventeen different tours available which visit Chicago’s many historical and ethnically diverse communities. You can even take a walking tour through my neighborhood, Little Italy! The Chicago Park District also offers Movies In The Parks, from June 2 to August 28. Family movies are shown at more than forty parks throughout the city and admission is free.

These are just a handful of the hundreds of special events going on in Chicago this summer. Please visit the websites I included for more information and have a great summer!
