Now that’s something to be proud of! I’m a sucker for these kinds of “best of” or “top of” lists and this one is pretty amusing. According to Forbes.com, Milwaukee is America’s #1 drinking city. It probably has something to do with all those breweries up there and the fact that there’s not too much else to do in Wisconsin besides get drunk (or eat cheese and bratwurst…. or go fishing). Somehow Chicago managed to make the top ten and come in at number six. Surprising since no one really drinks in this city… (hello? sarcasm??)

Inspired by the Lapsed Catholics photo pool on Flickr, I did some internet surfing to find Catholic kitsch. It is amazing what is being sold out there. I literally laughed out loud when I discovered these Jesus sport statues. Maybe if we’d gotten this one for Frankie he’d still be playing hockey (it’s a joke, Frank). On a more serious note, on this website there is also a list of Catholic saints and what exactly they’re the patron saints of. Ok, not so seriously, did you know there is a patron saint of television?! (There’s your useless fact of the day). Two actually: St. Martin de Porres and St. Clare of Assisi. Pray for us.
