Race to Wrigley

Wednesday, April 19th, 2006

Look at me go!!! Yeah, right. I received an email today from the folks who snapped photos during this past weekend’s “Race to Wrigley,” a 5K run/walk for Cubs Charities in which Francesca & I both participated. They took my picture! I had no idea. Here I am just out of the starting gate (Francesca is on my right).

What am I planning to do next?

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

With my Africa trip behind me, I’ve now turned my attention to planning my next adventure. I’d like it to be of the fishing variety so to gather plenty of info and to get myself pumped, I plan on attending every outdoor sports show and every free seminar I can find. To start, tomorrow I will be heading to the Chicagoland Outdoors Show. Then I plan on checking out the free seminars and events offered by two local fly shops, Orvis and Chicago Fly Fishing Outfitters. And next month The Fly Fishing Show is coming to town. Hopefully this will all be enough to hold me over until summer when I can start fishing again!

Day at the Dunes is no day at the beach

Mark and I rarely get a day off together so when we do, we like to plan something fun. We both had today off so instead of sending Mark off to do his own thing while I slaved over ... [Continue reading this entry]
