Thursday, December 21st, 2006This Tuna nickname sure has caught on. A few examples: last night at our company Christmas party, one of the phone technicians whom I formally met just a few weeks ago, addressed me as “Tuna” in front of several of my co-workers; my new boss calls me “Tuna” all the time, even when speaking of me to other supervisors and to members of the executive staff; when my phone line rings in my office, whoever is in there exclaims, “Tuna Phone!”, not, “Francesca, your phone is ringing.” Why, out of all the nicknames I’ve gathered over the years, has “Tuna” stuck so well? Do I look like a tuna? Er, on second thought, don’t answer that
