Handmade Market
Sunday, February 10th, 2008This is an event worth checking out for anyone who is into anything that is one-of-a-kind. The Handmade Market happens on the second Saturday of every month at The Empty Bottle (1035 N Western). I went this past Saturday and spent a couple of hours browsing tables covered with some of the coolest jewelry and most unique creations I’ve ever seen. I easily could have spent way more than the $33 I did spend. I came home with two candle votive holders from Viva Nova and an amber bracelet from Silvershoppe. Most of the artists/crafters have online stores at Etsy. Here is a list, with links, of my favorites from the show (and please do try to make it to the Market next month; I know I’d like to start going on a regular basis):
Silvershoppe (I love my amber bracelet! I’d been looking for one for a long time.)
Button Envy (I am in love with the hand painted hummingbird necklace! I’ll buy it at the Market next time if Button Envy is there again.)
Viva Nova (The site is currently down but keep checking back.)
Lily Sky (I want to have a kid just so I have a reason to buy the completely cool baby bibs.)
It’s a Ljubica Designs! (The Triple Agate Necklace will be mine!)
