Vega lost his battle with lymphoma. After 3 months of chemotherapy, Vega was no longer responding to the treatments. His lymph nodes had become so swollen that they were visible through his fur. The last few days of his life, he stopped eating and couldn’t walk. He’d lost a lot of weight, which was visible in his face and head, but the rest of his body was swollen from the cancer. I didn’t want my baby to suffer anymore.

Vega was an incredible dog. He was extremely gentle and sweet and loved by many people. I was not the only person who suffered a broken heart by Vega’s passing.

I told him that I’ll see him again one day. I find comfort in knowing that he’s not alone and is being cared for by my grandparents in Heaven.
