The result of driving drunk
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007This car was being driven to a wedding on Saturday night. The driver is a very, very cautious driver. The driver noticed her vehicle was about to be hit, and in an attempt to avoid a collision, hit the gas, resulting in her car being hit on the passenger side rear door. Had the driver not hit the gas, the crash would have occurred in the passenger side door, more than likely killing the passenger.
The drunk driver who hit this car had a blood alcohol level of .15, almost twice the legal limit. After the collision, the drunk driver was able to exit her car and walk around it to survey the damage to her vehicle.
The driver and passenger of this vehicle were not able to walk away without assistance. The passenger had to be cut out of the car.
Both women must have had guardian angels that night. Both women have suffered only bumps and bruises (that we know of right now) and as far was we know, will be perfectly fine.
The passenger of this car was my godmother. The driver was my mother.
This is the result of a drunk driver. I could have lost two family members. It’s that simple – don’t drive drunk!
