It was suggested by a few of my very worldly and well-traveled mates that I try banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich. I have no prior experience with Vietnamese food but I’m always up for something new. Searching online, I have found dozens of Vietnamese restaurants in the city, most up on Argyle Street. So I think it’s time for a field trip. Cafe Lao may be my first stop.

There’s no denying that the White Sox are an incredible team but…. 12-2?! Come on! The Cubs’ performance today was pathetic. It was putrid, paltry, and pitiful. And we need to get rid of Patterson, as in Corey. He’s the portrait of an underachiever. If the Cubs manage to win one game against the Sox this weekend, chalk it up to providence and probability.
