Playing catch-up

Tuesday, August 31st, 2004

Argh. That’s the best way I can describe what I’m feeling right now. This past week or so has been absolutely crazy and I’m having trouble even remembering what day it is.

Amidst all the craziness, Mark & I got to spend this past weekend in beautiful and exciting Peoria, Illinois (pick up on that sarcasm at all?) As many people know, one does not visit Peoria voluntarily; there has got to be a reason for the trip. Mark’s friend Mike (affectionately aka Gio) got married there on Saturday and Mark was a groomsman. The ceremony and reception were very enjoyable and Gio and his new wife Debbie looked oh so happy. Everyone we met over the weekend was just so nice… must be that small town attitude. But folks, unless you REALLY need to go to Peoria, don’t. Sure there are some really nice parts of town (ok, two) but they are not enough to make me want to go back there again.
