You are receiving this email because your state representative either voted “NO” or “Present” on SB 1921 to outlaw the slaughter of U.S. horses for human consumption. Simply put, your representative voted to permit a Belgium Company to slaughter U.S. horses for foreign markets. Wild horses are a symbol of the American West. Indeed, the vast majority of Americans are strongly opposed to horse slaughter.
We need you to call your representative TODAY and politely ask why they voted “NO” on this humane bill. ASK THEM TO RECONSIDER THEIR POSITION. It is very important that you be cordial and positive. Please let them know that you will be watching when SB 1921 is brought back to the Floor for a vote.
