S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

A night out with the girls…er, boys…er, friends. I don’t have “girls nights out.” But I do have “friends nights out,” most often with Ron and John, and Doreen has been coming around a lot more lately (yay!!!). Here are some pictures from our most recent “friends night out” this weekend. We all met freshman year of high school at St. Ignatius College Prep back in 1991. At the time, we were nerdy, awkward 13-year-olds with bad fashion sense. Now, 13 years later, we’re still nerds, but our fashion sense has immensely improved, and we are the best of friends!

We’ll be dancing yeah, dancing YEAH!

The Thinker

Wow, that lipstick is magnificent! (Holy close-up Batman!)

Aren’t they are happy couple?

Just the two…er, four of us…

Illinois Residents Please Help!

Monday, March 29th, 2004

I have attached below an email I received from the ASPCA today. Please read. I believe you will be appalled and will act on this immediately.

Thank you.

BILL TO BAN HORSE SLAUGHTER FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION POSTPONED – ONLY 5 MORE VOTES NEEDED FOR IT TO PASS!

CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TODAY AND ASK THEM TO RECONSIDER THEIR POSITION AND VOTE YES ON SB 1921!

You are receiving this email because your state representative either voted “NO” or “Present” on SB 1921 to outlaw the slaughter of U.S. horses for human consumption. Simply put, your representative voted to permit a Belgium Company to slaughter U.S. horses for foreign markets. Wild horses are a symbol of the American West. Indeed, the vast majority of Americans are strongly opposed to horse slaughter.

We need you to call your representative TODAY and politely ask why they voted “NO” on this humane bill. ASK THEM TO RECONSIDER THEIR POSITION. It is very important that you be cordial and positive. Please let them know that you will be watching when SB 1921 is brought back to the Floor for a vote.

To see the list of how all Illinois Representatives voted on SB 1921 click here:
http://www.barntowire.com/stophorseslaughter-Illinois-reps.html.

Thanks for taking action for animals. Politics is not a spectator sport.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND FORWARD THIS ALERT TO YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. The horses need you to act now!

Happy Birthday…
